“ Tiny little hole in the wall with a nondescript signage but wow...the baked goods are super yummy! The bakery is bustling and the servers are helpful. I think they said they have been around for over forty years. Many of the staff appear to be relatives of the bakery owners which probably helps with quality control. Probably the best known items are the ensymadas..surgery, buttery, light, airy and super soft as it melts into your mouth. We ordered a four pack. Since we were there we ordered the ube rolls, pecan bar, chocolate cookies as well just to try. Everything was good! The pecan bar was nutty with caramel like binding on a buttery cookie like crust. The chocolate cookie was huge and keep in mind there are nuts in the cookie. Delicious with each bite! The magic word is butter! ”
“ Always looking for a yummy Custard Pie! Found it at Nanding's Bakery in Kapahulu! The whole family loved it! Pick up a dozen Ube Spanish Rolls too! Now you are all set for a delicious Weekend Brunch! ”
“ Nanding's Bakery is located in the Kapahulu area and offers a broad range of baked goods. I tried the Spanish roll ($0.80 each) and it was quite tasty! Only complaint is that the roll I sampled was a bit hollow inside, and wet? I believe the moisture comes from butter. I was hoping for a fuller bite, but it was delicious nonetheless. The cashier who was working the counter today was patient and friendly. I was impressed with how quick she was! There seem to be parking spots to the side of the bakery, sandwiched between Nanding's and the Snoopy Store. The ambiance of the bakery isn't lavish or luxurious, as it's a modest grab-and-go kind of place. Overall, I had a positive experience and would visit again! ”
“ Did you know Nanding translates into Leonard in Filipino?! Yes, found out this lovely tidbit from my MIL. lol It's like Filipino Leonard's!! Anyway, my previous co-worker recommended this place to me for their Spanish rolls. I have tried the regular and ube Spanish rolls, the regular and ube pan de sals, but my favorite item here is the ube cream cheese pan de sal. Yum! They run out quickly so I can only snag them in the morning. The shop is small, and they have maybe 3-4 parking spaces. They only take cash under $10, but it's so easy to spend over $10 (then ya can pay with card), even with affordable pricing. Service is great! I always recommend this little known gem to visiting friends and family. It's one of my favorite Filipino bakeries, albeit tiny. Yelp 2024 Challenge: 19/30 ”
“ FRESH, HOT Spanish rolls. Always get 2x more than you meant to get, because the first round will be gone while you're in the car on the way to wherever you were going. I was disappointed the last time I was there though, because they no longer make Balintawak and it was my second favorite thing there. Just watch your step as you go in and out! Once you're in, they are so nice and pleasant, and keep the establishment super clean. ”
“ WHEN: Sat @6am Been up since 4am due to jet lag so my friend and I figured we'd walk there--actually we ended up driving there. They have thier own lot to park in for free. This small Filipino bakeshop has a large variety of pastries and we ordered a bit of everything. They have savories, sweets, and even cookies! Also, prices are decent! Pastries here range $2.39-$3.19 Cookies range $3.49-$3.69 Spanish Rolls are $0.80 each or $8 for a dozen. I"m glad we are able to come early cuz I can imagine a lot of these pastries being sold out quick! Yummy!!! ”
“ The Kapahulu location is one of 3 for Nanding's. So I go here because I needed to stop at Safeway to grab a few items for my dinner of the evening. The Spanish Rolls from Nanding's were part of my menu as it accompanied my seafood paella. Back to Nanding's: Street parking or stalls behind the building (that is, if you knew about it) OR if you're planning to run in and out, be like me and park in the Zippy's parking lot where the stalls abut the Nanding building. FAST! I got us Spanish Rolls and learned not to go there hungry because I walked out of the bakery with additional butter rolls and a bag of cookies! Go figure. They were all good! I was lucky to get the Spanish Rolls right out of the oven! Priced right and reasonable. Worth your time and effort to get yourself some of their delicacies. Go there! get your goodies OR be square ”
“ Have you tried Nanding's Spanish Rolls?!? The rolls are so delicious specially when it's warm! Come get yours at Nanding's Bakery. They have three convenient locations on Oahu -- Kapahulu, Kalihi and Waipahu. They are open from 5:00 am to 5:00 pm. You can pay in cash or if you use your debit/credit card, you must make a minimum purchase of $10. They have 5 stalls behind the store. I was assisted by the staff, Jasper, and he was friendly and I could tell he smiled despite the face mask on. It was around 8:45 am when I walked in and it was nice and quiet. The store is clean, just need a little reorganizing to make the space seem bigger ;) I got my ube cheese pandesal, Spanish rolls and Spanish rolls with ube. The ube cheese pandesal is one of my favorite! I love cheese and ube and it's combined in this pastry!!! *purple hearts*. The Spanish rolls is another delicious pastry that is enjoyed by me and many others that I know. Any of these pastries are good to bring when visiting families and friends or to bring to potlucks or to gift any of your favorite workers! The store also sells ready to drink cold drinks and instant coffee, condiments such as vinegar, soy sauce, fish sauce, and even sardines and liver paste (some know it as pâté that is used on a warm bread or for ban mi sandwiches. As always, thank you for reading my review. Have a great Wednesday! ”
“ Nanding's is a Filipino bakery known for delicious Spanish Rolls which is a bread roll with a traditionally sweet filling made of breadcrumbs, butter or margarine, and brown sugar. I was happy to see they were open very early in the morning and we stopped by the bakery to get some pre-tournament snackies. The bakery was empty and their shelves were fully stocked. They've got all kinds of goodies available like ensamada, pandesal, pianono, puto, bread, and so much more. They even have savory options like sausage rolls! I was in a bit of a rush so I kind of randomly picked whatever looked interesting which happened to be almost everything ube, lol. Ube spanish rolls, ube cream filled pandesal, ube silang, and a sausage roll, etc. Definitely recommend taking your time if you can though because there were so many other things I wanted to try after looking back on my photos! The spanish rolls were unsurprisingly delicious and I enjoyed the ube cream pandesal as well. Definitely recommend a stop here if you're craving Filipino pastries! It made me nostalgic for mornings in the Philippines with fresh baked pandesal. Best part is, they're reasonably priced and won't break the bank! ”
